How to Care for Your Tattoo in the Sun and During Summer Activities

Tattoos are an ancient form of body art that is still highly popular today. If you plan to get a tattoo during the summer, it’s essential to take proper care of it. The sun, water, and sweat can all impact the longevity and appearance of your tattoo. To ensure your tattoo looks great for years to come, you should take precautions such as avoiding prolonged sun exposure, keeping your tattoo clean and dry, and avoiding swimming or soaking in water for extended periods. Additionally, it’s crucial to find a reputable and experienced tattoo artist in Mumbai or a tattoo studio in Mumbai that follows proper hygiene protocols to avoid any risk of infection or complications. By following these tips, you can enjoy your summer activities while keeping your tattoo looking its best. Here are some tips for taking care of your tattoo during summer activities:   Avoid Direct Sun Exposure   First and foremost, it is crucial to avoid direct sun exposure. This is particularly important during the initial few weeks after getting your tattoo, as the skin is still healing and can be easily damaged. Cover your tattoo with clothing or use a high SPF sunblock (at least SPF 30) whenever you’re outside. If you are looking for a professional tattoo artist in Mumbai, consider visiting a reputable and best tattoo studio in India. This is particularly important during the first few weeks after getting your tattoo, as the skin is still healing and vulnerable to damage. Cover your tattoo with clothing or use a high SPF sunblock (at least SPF 30) whenever you’re outside.   Keep Your Tattoo Clean and Dry   Sweat and moisture can cause your tattoo to become infected or fade prematurely. If you’re planning to be active outdoors, bring along a clean towel to dry off any sweat. Avoid swimming or soaking in water for the first few weeks after getting your tattoo, as this can cause the ink to fade or wash away. Any tattoo artist in Mumbai will tell you to keep the area around your tattoo clean & dry. It is highly recommended that the tattoo area is cleaned on a daily basis to avoid unnecessary infection or rashes.   Use a Moisturizer   Keeping your tattoo moisturized is essential to its long-term health. Apply a thin layer of fragrance-free, hypoallergenic lotion or ointment to your tattoo several times a day, especially after exposure to the sun, water, or sweat. This will help to prevent dryness, cracking, and peeling, which can all damage your tattoo. Not just Mumbai tattoo studios but many of the tattoo studios will recommend you to use a moisturizer to maintain the glossy and fresh texture of your tattoo.   Avoid Tight Clothing   Wearing tight clothing or accessories that rub against your tattoo can cause irritation and slow the healing process. Stick to loose-fitting clothing that won’t irritate your tattoo, and avoid wearing anything that might cause friction against the area.   Don’t Scratch Your Tattoo   Itching is a common side effect of getting a tattoo, but scratching can damage the skin and cause scarring. If your tattoo starts to itch, resist the urge to scratch and gently tap or slap the area to relieve the discomfort. If the itching persists, talk to your tattoo artist about recommended ointments or treatments.   Keep Your Tattoo Covered   If you plan to spend much time outdoors, consider covering your tattoo with clothing or a bandage. This will help to protect it from the sun, sweat, and other potential irritants. Just ensure the covering is clean and breathable to avoid trapping moisture against your skin.   Avoid Chemicals   If you’ve recently gotten a tattoo from a tattoo artist in Mumbai, it’s important to take care of it properly during the summer months. This means avoiding activities that could damage your tattoo, such as swimming in pools or hot tubs for the first few weeks after getting your tattoo. It’s also a good idea to consult with your tattoo artist in Mumbai or the tattoo studio in Mumbai where you got your tattoo for specific aftercare instructions to ensure that your tattoo looks great for years to come.   Be Careful with Exfoliants   Exfoliants like scrubs and loofahs can be too harsh for your tattoo, causing the ink to fade or peel away prematurely. Avoid using exfoliants directly on your tattoo, and be careful when using them on other areas of your body.   Stay Hydrated   Drinking plenty of water during summer is essential for your overall health, but it’s also essential for taking care of your tattoo. Staying hydrated can help to prevent dryness and keep your skin healthy, which will benefit your tattoo in the long run. If you notice any signs of infection or discomfort, contact your tattoo studio in Mumbai immediately to seek medical advice.   In conclusion, taking care of your tattoo during summer activities is essential to ensure its long-term health and appearance. By following these simple tips, you can help to protect your tattoo from sun damage, sweat, and other potential irritants, ensuring it stays great for years to come. Remember, if you have any questions or concerns about tattoo care, always consult with your tattoo artist.

Getting a Tattoo – What to Expect During Your Appointment

Getting a tattoo is a big decision, and it’s natural to feel a little nervous about your appointment. However, with a little preparation and knowing what to expect, you can ensure that your tattoo experience is a positive one. In this article, we’ll cover the key things you need to know before getting a tattoo from the best tattoo artist in India or a female tattoo artist in Mumbai. Choosing a Tattoo Artist One of the most important decisions you’ll make is choosing the right tattoo artist from a reputed Mumbai tattoo studio. Do your research and find an artist whose work you love and who has a good reputation. Look at their portfolio to ensure that they are capable of creating the style of tattoo you want. You should also read reviews from other clients to get an idea of their professionalism and customer service. Preparing for Your Appointment Once you’ve chosen your tattoo artist, it’s important to prepare for your appointment. Make sure you eat a good meal before your appointment and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. You should also avoid alcohol and drugs as they can thin your blood and increase your risk of bleeding during the tattooing process. It’s a good idea to wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area where you’ll be getting the tattoo. You may also want to bring headphones or other forms of entertainment to help you relax during the tattooing process. Choosing the appropriate tattoo artist from a reputable Mumbai tattoo studio is one of the most crucial decisions you’ll make. What to Expect During Your Appointment When you arrive at any of the best tattoo shop in india, your artist will take you through the design process. They may make adjustments to the design to ensure that it fits and looks perfect on your skin. Once you’re happy with the design, your artist will apply the tattoo stencil onto your skin. This will give them a guide to follow during the tattooing process. Before beginning the tattoo, your artist will clean the area with an antiseptic solution and shave any hair from the area. They will then begin the tattooing process, which involves using a needle to inject ink into the skin. You may feel discomfort or pain during the process, but most people find it manageable. What you can ask the tattoo artist How long have you been doing tattoos? What are your qualifications? Can I look at your portfolio? Do you offer a warranty on your work? How are your tools sanitized? What type of follow-up care would you suggest? After the Tattoo Once the tattoo is complete, your artist will clean the area again and apply a bandage or wrap to protect the tattoo. They will also give you instructions on how to care for your new tattoo, which may include keeping it clean, avoiding swimming or soaking in water, and avoiding tight clothing that could irritate the tattoo. You may experience mild pain, swelling, or redness around the tattoo site for the first few days. This is normal and can be managed with over-the-counter pain medication and by following the aftercare instructions provided by your artist. In conclusion, getting a tattoo can be an exciting and rewarding experience if you choose a reputed Mumbai tattoo studio, and a professional tattoo artist in Mumbai, prepare for your appointment, and follow the aftercare instructions. This way, you can ensure that your new tattoo looks great and heals properly.

Aftercare of a tattoo

Tattoos are a great way of self-expression. You can find the right design that can mean a lot to you. There will be dates of important events in life and names of loved ones that you want to get in permanent ink. One takes their own time and finalizes what one wants to get inked on their body.   You decide what is suitable for you and take the big step – you are now inked. But that does not mean your tattoo journey has ended. As part of the aftercare of a tattoo, there are a lot of factors that one needs to understand.   Tattoo aftercare   While tattoo aftercare is not a complicated process, it is still necessary to ensure the skin which is now inked heals well. This aftercare will act as a make or break for how well your tattoo and its vivid colours stand the test of time.   Before we talk about the post-inking process, ensure that you get a tattoo from a tattoo artist who is following the required health standards. This includes someone with a certification, who uses gloves and cleans the area where you are getting tattooed well and makes it sterilized. Check online or with people in your life for reviews of the tattoo parlour or tattoo artist to verify if they practice the necessary steps. At Ace Tattooz, you can rest assured that we will ink you in the safest way possible.   Post tattoo care   We have an aftercare sheet as well to remind you of some do’s and don’ts however we are adding some points for our readers as well first if all you need to remove the bandage within 1 hour, clean your tattoo with lukewarm water always use the foam of pears soap foam for cleaning your tattoo apart from that preferably use paper towels and wear loose clothes for at least next 2 weeks apart from that do not scrub your skin in tattoo area as dead cells will start coming off and new skin will replace them but dont worry the ink colors will remain and your tattoo won’t fade in this process.   As soon as you are inked, the aftercare begins. We provide you with a special after tattoo cream for special care and healing that can be wrapped in a plastic film or bandage to prevent bacteria from entering the wound. You will need to remove the bandage after a few hours and let it dry. Wash it with mild soapy water with clean hands. Remember to only lightly pat down with a soft towel on the tattoo to dry it out. Never do a wiping motion on it or else the ink might wipe out. You then add a layer of the cream again.   By day 7 you will have repeated the above process every day to keep the tattooed area clean and infection free. You will have to wear loose clothes around the inked area and make sure you are not getting the inked area sunburnt. In a week the inflammation and swelling will have gone down and the skin will now turn into scabs. This will mean it is recovering. If the inked skin is still inflamed and swollen a week in, it may be infected and will require medical attention. It is recommended that you avoid intense exercises for at least 2 weeks after getting inked, and also avoid swimming and all water related activities for at least 4 weeks to avoid getting an infection. If you must, start with light intensity workouts like stretching, yoga, walking, etc., at least 2-3 days after getting the tattoo. Also, keep in mind that you cannot donate blood till at least 6 months after getting a tattoo- you have to wait for that time period and let the tattoo heal to prevent any sort of infection from spreading during the blood transfusion process.   Now, after 14 days, the scabs should have hardened. Your skin will be very itchy but you need to prevent scratching it or picking on it with pointed things. The flakes should naturally fall off. Apply a fragrance-free moisturizer to help you ease the itchiness. After a month, you will be on the way to a healthy and happy tattoo. While there may still be a few flakes falling off, the tattoo should be mostly healed. Cleanliness and moisturization are going to be a constant during this entire process. Varying individuals can have different healing speeds, so maintain this routine till you are fully in the clear. And there you have it! You have now successfully been inked and maybe, this is just the beginning of a new tattoo journey in your life.

Why tattoos turn green and blue in color over time?

When it comes to tattoos, one of the biggest queries that people new to tattoos have is the longevity of the colours in tattoos over time. As a lifelong commitment, there is understandable concern over the appearance of a tattoo over a period of decades of someone’s life. What could be worse than tattoos changing by fading, blurring or a shift in the colours in it? Maybe the biggest question is why does the tattoo turn green or blue in colour over time. This is a common occurrence, especially among people who have had their tattoos over several years.   Now whether you plan on getting a tattoo that is a tiny one, simply texts and symbols or a large colourful design, before you commit to it the first time, you try to predict how the tattoo might look like say – 25 years later. No one wants their tattoo to appear like a blotchy design that is unrecognizable and causes regrets.   Certain factors like different body parts can affect how easily a tattoo on your body might fade. Finger tattoos for example fade quite easily and earlier. A rather fleshier part of your body therefore is less prone to fading quicker.   But let’s get to the main meat of this article and why you are here – why do tattoos turn green or blue in colour? Often you can find tattoos that were originally not blue or green in colour look like they were as time passes by. But what if you want the colours to stay that way till the end and the green/blue colour scheme simply does not do it for you?   Well, according to the experts, the change in hue is a concern for only tattoos that have black ink in them. As the years pass by, black ink gets absorbed into the body as well as fades with time. All of this leads to ink deposits losing density of the black colour on your skin. Every different black ink has various base colours on which it is produced. These include blue blacks, grey blacks, pure blacks and so on. Tattoos age with you and also have reactions to your surroundings. Exposure to the sun, the location of your residence can contribute further to this change in colour and the fading of the tattoo. Adding to this, the brand of ink used and the quality of the ink is also responsible. Melanin, a substance found in the skin’s outermost layer called the epidermis, is primarily responsible for skin pigmentation. The dermis, or layer of skin under the epidermis, is where the tattoo artist injects the ink during the tattooing procedure. The pigmentation of the melanin within the epidermis serves as a filter, covering the tattoo. As a result, a tattoo on someone with light skin may show colour more vividly. The colours in a person’s design might be the same, but they might appear more subdued over time if they have dark skin pigmentation.   Therefore, you need to take these factors into consideration when deciding if you want an all black tattoo, a semi black or black and white tattoo etc.   If you notice, this change in colour is also observed in the tattoos among the older folk. Older ink quality was quite poor, leading to early fading and discoloration. With technology improvements and better pigment qualities, the aging of these newer tattoos are also expected to go differently.   While no one possesses the ability to look into the future, the changing in colour based on the appearance of tattoos on old people should not deter you from taking your first step into getting inked. Adequate care and precautions will ensure that you can take better steps to help your tattoo flourish in all it’s glory! You can always count on Ace Tattooz for quality ink and tattoos for a long term as we only use the best quality FDA approved Vegan Inks for your benefit!

Is Septum piercing safe?

Body piercings have been in “trend” for centuries. As piercings evolved and the fashion around them evolved, the jewellery used for piercings became a mode of self-expression. Today, from artists and businesswomen like Rihanna to supermodels like Gigi Hadid, there is a major influence of the septum piercing in the contemporary age. Looking at the way the fashion world has truly embraced it, the septum piercing is here to stay.   Septum piercing   There is also an importance of septum piercing in many cultures, in Chinese culture it is believed that septum piercing is a powerful acupuncture point and doing septum piercing can actually open up the energy flow of the body. It is also believed in Hindu astrology that septum piercing can dissolve the ill effects of planet mercury hence septum piercing has been around the world since ages some times as a part of cultures and sometimes as a part of fashion.   We understand that you would like to get a septum piercing too but have valid concerns. What about the safety of indulging in an activity that requires you to make a small piercing in your body? What is the healing time? What about the aftercare? Such questions can always arise with these procedures.   what is septum Piercing?   Let us first understand what a septum piercing is. The septum, located in the bottommost part of your nose is the cartilage between your two nostrils. During the piercing process, the thin fleshy part that exists right in front of the septum is pierced with the help of a needle. After which, the desired piece of jewellery is pushed through the pierced hole. The jewellery can range from a ring or a horseshoe and in some cases a bar-shaped ornament. Another common name is a bull nose piercing for a hoop-shaped ornament.   The process can be uncomfortable and a little painful, but if done in the right way by experienced hands, you will be safe as the professional will ensure it hits the sweet spot efficiently. The piercing is never done through the cartilage- the best comparison for this is how one gets the side of the nose pierced.   Septum piercings heal in a few stages. The first few weeks are the most tender and painful parts of the healing process. Usually, to be considered fully healed, it is required to give your piercing 6 – 8 months. In order to change the jewelry, you need to give the piercing at least 6-8 weeks to heal well. However, you should leave it in as long as you can to avoid infections caused by a wound that is not healed.   Therefore, is septum piercing safe? If you take the help of an experienced professional, you greatly lower your risks. Plus, if you do the properly advised aftercare like washing your hands before touching it to avoid infections and using the right soft solutions to clean it, you should be good to go. At Ace Tattooz, we have a very safe, efficient and trustworthy piercing service that has been in practice for a long time. 9 TRENDING SPIRITUAL TATTOO DESIGNS IN 2022 WITH THEIR MEANING

There is growing affinity of urban Indians to body tattoos. Popular in Indian youth during the early phase were abstract symbolic designs. With changing trends, there is a clear shift in preference from the roses and barbed wire designs to more spiritual forms of deities, symbols of deities, or religious verses from holy books are inked. Realistic depiction of portraits and use of watercolours is the buzz in the world of body art form. The rising trend of using spiritual tattoos as a reflection of one’s faith and ideology is immensely popular with millennials.   Tattoos are an extension of a person’s expressions and have a profound spiritual effect on the individual getting tattooed. The connection between the tattoo and the individual elicits emotions rather than the tattoo design.   In the past few years, Bollywood celebrities like Ajay Devgn and Esha Deol are embracing inking spiritual tattoos. While Ajay sports a Lord Shiv tattoo on his left pectorals, Esha flaunts her Om tattoo on the back. Not only Bollywood, but Hollywood celebrity Angelina Jolie has also tattooed a famous Buddhist prayer on her left arm. What started as a tattoo statement by the celebrities is now adopted by the youth of India in a spiritual form of their preferred body art.   While the tattoo design itself has no spiritual or magical powers, they seem to invoke a sense of consciousness and spiritual feelings in both the person tattooed and the tattoo artist. Nikhil Bhanushali of Ace Tattooz says “Spiritual tattoos have been trending in India for some time now.
