jewellery, the mount beneath her. Both work well. It comes down to the look you

Navratri is the festival of the Goddess, nine nights dedicated to her forms. It is
when devotion to Durga is strongest, so it is also when many people decide to get a
Durga tattoo. A tattoo done in this spirit becomes a lasting reminder of that
devotion, long after the festival ends. You do not have to wait for Navratri, but many
people feel it is the right time.

HEALING

Caring for your Durga tattoo

Aftercare decides how sharp your tattoo looks for years. Always follow the exact aftercare your artist gives you. In short, this is what we advise at Ace Tattooz:

Remove the cling film wrap 45 minutes to 1 hour after your session.

Apply a thin layer of the ointment your artist gives you, about 3 hours after
cleaning.

Never use alcohol based products or Vaseline on a fresh tattoo.

Dead skin will start to peel around day 3 to 6. Let it fall off on its own, do not
pluck it.

Wear loose clothes so nothing rubs against the tattoo.

No gym, yoga, sports or heavy exercise for 30 days.

Stay hydrated. Watermelon and coconut water help.

Clean gently with normal or lukewarm water, then pat dry with tissue or a soft
cotton cloth. Do not rub.

From the next day, clean twice a day with a mild soap foam and apply the
ointment. Follow this for 30 days.

Some excess ink in the first few days is normal. Wear dark clothes so stains do
not bother you.

Itching is normal. Do not scratch. If you need to, gently slap the area instead.

No swimming, beach or hot tub while it heals. Chlorine and bacteria can fade
the ink or cause infection.

If small heat boils appear from body heat, do not burst or touch them.

Avoid alcohol and smoking for at least 2 to 3 weeks.
